Reliability under extreme conditions

Affilitix offers a customized, personal, and affordable ticketing solution. We faced the challenge of developing a new, robust, and reliable app for event admission. The app not only needed to enable fast ticket checks for large crowds but also function smoothly in situations with poor internet connectivity. Additionally, it was important to integrate various scanners to provide maximum flexibility. For example, large events often prefer using Zebra® scanners.

Development from the user's perspective

We are convinced that you can only develop the right software if you experience firsthand the problems that need to be solved. That’s why we always start by going on-site, using the existing systems, seeking advice from end users, and—in this case—checking thousands of tickets ourselves at the event entrance. This allowed us to experience the practical challenges firsthand and also test our prototypes directly on-site.

Innovative features for modern ticket management

• Offline synchronization Given that internet connectivity can be unreliable at large events with thousands of mobile devices, it is essential that the app can continue to function for short periods without a live data connection.

• High-Speed Scanning We designed the Affilitix admission app to scan tickets exceptionally quickly. This was crucial for efficiently managing large crowds and ensuring events start on time. Every second counts when thousands of guests arrive simultaneously.

• Multimodal Scanning Options To ensure maximum flexibility, the app supports various methods for scanning tickets. For professional event logistics, the app can be installed on Zebra® scanners. Smaller events prefer Bluetooth laser scanners that clip onto mobile devices or the integrated camera. This versatility allows organizers to tailor the admission process according to their needs and equipment.

• Centralized App Management It is also possible to manage the app centrally and configure settings. This simplifies management and ensures consistent configuration across all access control devices.

• Live Statistics These display in real time how many people have already passed through the entry checkpoint. This is particularly useful for security personnel, who can respond dynamically to the situation at the entrance. The app also allows for differentiation between various seating categories, giving event organizers a precise overview of visitor flows.
